Summer life
In the middle of peak season, we live here atGlamping aan de Maasat full tilt. The airstream caravan is booked, the wellness bungalow is buzzing with activity and laughter regularly echoes from the hot tubs. For us, as hosts, it is a lively, warm period in which everything comes together: the hustle and bustle of happy guests, the work behind the scenes and the next dream that is slowly becoming reality – the conversion of our American school bus into a holiday home.

The reward is great
Every day brings new stories. Guests greet us with a cup of coffee in hand, children play ball on the grass. It's so special to see people relax, in the greenery, with the Meuse just a stone's throw away. Really getting some peace and quiet. And although it can be quite demanding at times – changing beds, washing, ironing, cleaning – it also gives us a great deal of satisfaction. Because every smile, every "how beautiful it is here", makes it doubly worthwhile.

A celebration
The conversations with guests are a celebration in themselves. From young couples camping in style for the first time to families who are delighted with the combination of wellness and nature. Everyone has their own story. And the beautiful thing is: we get to be part of it for a little while. Sometimes we give tips for a nice walk along the Meuse, a good restaurant in the village or the best time to get in the hot tub at sunset.

School bus project
And then there's Peter's new project: the American school bus. Whenever he has a free hour between tasks, you'll find him there – adapting, sanding, building, figuring out how it will look. The bus will have, like the other accommodations, its own hot tub and will accommodate six people. We're aiming for summer 2026, and as we see how it's already taking shape, we know: this will be a gem.

Are you coming too?
Although almost all nights this summer are fully booked, from the end of August there are still a few spots available. So if you want to escape the crowds and enjoy peace, space and wellness in the countryside… you're welcome. We'll make sure the hot tub is ready and the beds are sparkling clean.
