Finally, the time has come: we are starting the renovation of our American school bus into a special glamping accommodation!

After a year of hard work on our luxury wellness bungalow – complete with a private sauna and hot tub – that dream has now become reality. The bookings are pouring in and the first guests are thrilled. That gives us the energy to tackle our next project: the school bus.

Over the Easter weekend, the benches were demolished (yes, literally with a screwdriver, power drill and muscles). Together with our sons and their girlfriends, we brainstormed about the layout. Our original plan turned out to not be as practical as we thought. But fortunately, we now have – and especially Peter, our own renovation expert – a layout that we are truly happy with.

Our hands are itching to continue, but first we need to focus on other things. This summer our two sons are moving, and our own house also needs some attention. Yet the school bus remains high on our wish list.
