Finally the time has come: we have started converting our American school bus into a special glamping accommodation!
After a year of hard work on our luxury wellness bungalow – complete with private sauna and whirlpool – this dream has now become reality. The bookings are coming in en masse and the first guests are incredibly enthusiastic. This gives us energy to continue with our next project: the school bus.
During the Easter weekend, the sofas were torn out (yes, literally with screwdriver, drill and muscles). Together with our sons and their girlfriends, we brainstormed about the layout. Our original plan turned out not to be as practical as we thought. But luckily we now have – and especially Peter, our own renovation expert – a layout that we are really happy with.
We want to move on, but first we have to step it up a notch. This summer our two sons are moving and our own house needs some attention. However, the school bus is still at the top of our wish list.
