Summer life as a host at Glamping aan de Maas: enjoy to the fullest

Summer life 
We live here in the middle of the high season Glamping aan de Maas at full speed. The Airstream caravan is occupied, the wellness bungalow buzzes with conviviality, and laughter regularly resounds from the hot tubs. For us, as hosts, it's a lively, warm period where everything comes together: the bustle of happy guests, the work behind the scenes, and the next dream slowly becoming reality – converting our American school bus into a holiday home.

The reward is great
Every day brings new stories. Guests greet us with a cup of coffee in hand, children play with a ball on the grass. It's so special to see people relax, surrounded by greenery, with the Maas River just a stone's throw away. Truly unwinding. And although it can be a real chore sometimes – changing the beds, washing, ironing, cleaning – it also gives us immense satisfaction. Because every smile, every "it's so beautiful here" makes it more than worth it.

A party
Conversations with guests are a joy in themselves. From young couples experiencing camping in style for the first time to families thrilled with the combination of wellness and nature. Everyone has their own story. And the best part is: we get to be a part of it for a little while. Sometimes we offer tips for a lovely walk along the Meuse River, a good restaurant in the village, or the best time to step into the hot tub at sunset.

The schoolbus project
And then there's Peter's new project: the American school bus. Whenever he has a spare hour between work, you can find him there – modifying, sanding, hammering, imagining what it will look like. The bus, like the other accommodations, will have its own hot tub and will eventually seat six people. We're aiming for summer 2026, and seeing how it's already shaping up, we know it's going to be a gem.

Are you coming too?
Although almost every night this summer is fully booked, there are still a few spots available from the end of August. So, if you'd like to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some peace, space, and wellness in the countryside, you're welcome. We'll make sure the hot tub is ready and the beds are spotless.
